Dr. Glen Edward Foster Jr., a long-time resident of Fairport, passed away May 8, 2014, in Lancaster, PA. Born March 25, 1928, in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Glen E. Foster Sr. and Marie Youngs Foster.

Glen attended Hobart College and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Following his service in the US Naval Reserve, the family moved to Fairport in 1955 and Dr. Foster established his dental practice, retiring in 1999. He was a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, member of the 7th District Dental Society of New York State, past President of the Monroe County Dental Society, the Rochester Graduate Chapter of Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity and the Fairport Rotary Club.

Dr. Foster is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Patricia Howell Foster; his sister, Carolyn Armstrong; two sons, Scott and his wife Oksana, Bruce and his wife Robin, one daughter, Melissa Keene and her husband, Richard; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Adam and Jeremy Foster.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Moravian Manor, 300 W. Lemon Street, Lititz, PA 17543. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Glen's name to Moravian Manor (www.moravianmanor.org), or the Fairport Rotary Club (www.fairportrotary.com).
