Gladys M. Weaver, 99, of Chambersburg and formerly of Lancaster, died on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Shippensburg Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Weaver, who died in 1973.

Born in Blakesburg, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Walker) Johnston. Gladys is survived by her son, Warren J., husband of Vicky, of York; two daughters, Catherine Weaver, with whom she lived and Louise, wife of Thomas Greene of Chevy Chase, MD; two granddaughters, Heidi, wife of Serdar Umur of Cos Cob, CT, and Kari Weaver of Atlanta; and a great grandson, Adam Umur. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Hillis Johnston, Marie Johnston, Mabel Grooms, Josephine Ratcliffe, LaVina Jackson, Mildred Izer and Hildred Hilliard.

Gladys was a member of the United Mennonite Church.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 9:30 until 11:00 AM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA. The funeral is 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment in Longeneckers Reformed Mennonite Cemetery will follow the service.
