Giro J. Marino, 90, of Lititz, passed away March 10, 2018 at Signature Senior Living. Born in New York City, NY, he was son of the late Donato and Antoinettia Marino. Giro was the owner of his own construction company, Marino Contracting. He was a member of the PA School for the Deaf for over 50 years and was heavily involved in the deaf community including the Senior Citizens Club for the Deaf. Giro was a very active member of the Deaf Lions Club of Florida. During his 55 years of service with the Deaf Lions Club of FL he was elected president three times and earned a title of Honorary Life Member. He was a former resident of Lancashire Terrace. The family would also like to extend their sincere thanks to Carol, a hospice nurse for Compassionate Care who did an incredible job caring for Giro. Her kindness will forever be remembered. Giro is survived by his step-children, Patti Swoboda (Edward) and Mac Harrod and his siblings Elizabeth Hoffman and Vito Marino (Jeanette) . He is predeceased by his wives Jane Marino and Elizabeth (Bell) Harrod Marino and his sisters Vinnie Knight and Mary LeRoy. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church located at 601 E Delp Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601. The family will receive friends prior to the service, starting at 10:30AM. A sign language interpreter will be present to translate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice at 1513 Cedar Cliff Dr. Ste 100 Camp Hill, PA 17011.
