Geraldine Annetta Dougherty, 71, of Windsor Ave., Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly at Lancaster General Hospital on Monday, September 21, 2015. Born in Harrisburg, PA, she was the wife of Dennis Michael Dougherty and they celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on December 2nd. She was the daughter of the late Stoey A. and Isadora Richardson Barrick. A graduate of Donegal High School and a member of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Geraldine appreciated her work with Community Services Group and enjoyed working with her co-workers and clients. Early on she enjoyed going camping in their RV and traveling to Waterville, PA, Dewey Beach, and Rehoboth Beach, DE. She liked going out to eat and at one time collected salt and pepper shakers. She had a special love for her dog, Jasmine, and a passion for all her former animals. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Dennis, two sons, Keith M., husband of Lynne Dougherty, Lititz, PA and Ryan A. Dougherty, partner of Chelsey Willoughby, Carlisle, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Amanda Dougherty and Breandan Dougherty and a great grandson on the way. Her sister, Judith wife of Sidney Wray, Mountville, also survives. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Geraldine's Funeral Service from the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Tri M. Luong Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
