Gerald D. Smith "Smitty," 69, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.

Gerald was born November 1st, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Carl and Charlotte Smith. Gerald is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Smith. He is survived by his wife Catherine Smith, son Doug Smith, and brother Dan Smith. He also has many nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law. Gerald was a career truck driver for many years and worked for various companies during his career until he retired in 2013. He enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He also had a passion for computers. As per the Smith Family's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. In place of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
