Georgina Mercado Rivera, 84, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. She was born in Junco, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro Juan Mercado and Leonor Mercado Rivera. Georgina is survived by her children, Esperanza Aponte of Hillside, NJ, Sonja Villa of New York, NY, William Villa and Luis Villa both of Harrisburg, PA; her siblings, Iris Mercado of Puerto Rico, Milagros Mercado of Lancaster, PA, Pedro Julio Mercado of New York, NY, and Miguel a. Mercado of Puerto Rico; her seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Georgina was god-mother of the Latino Baseball Teams, an active member at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, was well known in the Latino Community Activities, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved spending time and entertaining her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018 at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 South Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602 with Father Allen Wolfe as celebrant. Family and Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
