Georgia Mantell Ziegler, 72 of Lancaster PA, passed away on October 12th, 2016. She was born to the late Gerald Mantell and Jeanette White Mantell of Honey Brook, PA. Georgia struggled with a lengthy battle with depression and passed away in her sleep due to deteriorating complications.

Georgia graduated from Pequea Valley High school in 1962. She continued her education at Millersville University, class of 1966. Later, she received a Master's degree from Shippensburg University. Georgia taught several years at elementary and secondary schools.

Throughout her life she was an outspoken advocate for causes and ideas she cared about deeply. She was also a truly amazing mother.

She is survived by her husband Thomas and son Matthew, husband of Marya Ugolnik, of Sleepy Hollow, NY. She is also survived by sisters Jane Feister and Linda Weeks. Numerous nephews and nieces were family to her. Peace be with you at last. Memorial services will be held at a later date for family and friends.
