George H. Schneider Jr., 55, of York passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his home. Born in New Kensington, he was the beloved son of George H. Sr. and Carol Jean Schultz Schneider. George was the loving husband of Deborah Braungard Schneider. A graduate of New Kensington High School, he later obtained his master's degree from Towson University and chose to work in the field of cyber security. George had a deep appreciation of the outdoors. He could be found mountain biking, hunting, fishing during his free time. A ski instructor, he also had a love for warm weather and would travel south to Florida with his wife Deb. A jack of all trades, George could learn how to fix just about anything. More than anything he was a thoughtful and caring person who loved nothing more than to spend time with his cherished grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents, are our stepchildren, Angela, Amy, Jesse, Kaitlyn, eleven grandchildren, two brothers, Tim husband of Beth Schneider, Dave husband of Jen Schneider, his sister-in-law, Kristi Schneider, as well as numerous nieces, nephews. Preceding him in death was his younger brother, Michael Schneider. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Greenwood Memorial Park, Burrall Hills.
