George X. Mimm, 87, Columbia, PA, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2018 surrounded by his family at St. Anne's Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Alfred & Anna (Williams) Mimm. George was the loving husband to the late Alberta "Ginnie" (Hanthorn) Mimm. A veteran, he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. George retired from AC&S Company. He loved to gamble and play the slots at Hollywood Casino. His favorite TV Specials included Blue Bloods, Bonanza & Ponderosa. George enjoyed eating at the Pancake Farm, Ephrata. Surviving is a step-son, Gordon Hanthorn, husband of Brenda; grandson, David Hanthorn, and two great-grandsons; sister, Delores Gibble; nieces & nephews: Darlene Bargelski, Kathleen Blackwelder, Robert Mimm, Jr, Helen Stroup, William Mimm, Jr, Diane Pawelczyk Simo with whom he resided, Jeanette Cook, Darla Mastromatteo, Joanne Smith, Steven Gibble, Constance Krause, Matthew Gibble; and many great nieces & nephews.
