George F. Hohenwarter, Jr., 83, of Holtwood, peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, December 7, 2024 after coping with several illnesses while under Hospice care.

He was the son of the late George F. Sr. and M. Kathryn Hohenwarter, and he is survived by his wife, of 36 years, Mary Lou Hohenwarter and stepchildren Lisa M. Miller (David) and Wayne P. Kahl; 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael D. Hohenwarter, stepson Donald J. Kahl, Jr., and his brother, Richard L. Hohenwarter.

George retired from RCA/BURLE after 43 years of service.

He served in the PA Army National Guard in 1962 and was formerly a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, The Train Collectors Assn., and the Riverside Club, where he enjoyed a beer or two. George enjoyed traveling, country western dancing, and going to the beach.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 1-2PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2PM. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
