Gary G. Wise, 70, of Landisville, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at his residence.

He was the husband of Barbara A. Thomas Wise, with whom he celebrated 13 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Oliver and Nellie Dewey.

Gary had worked for Yellow Freight for 35 years until his retirement. He had served as the president of the Local Teamsters Union #771 at Yellow Freight and was also a member of the RainMakers Association.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his son James married to Kelly Wise of New York, his daughters Terri and Robin both of New York, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Gary is also survived by his stepchildren, David T. Witmer of Lancaster and Erica E. Witmer of Lancaster,  his stepgranddaughter, Chloe Witmer, and his brothers James married to Joan Wise of Lancaster and Kirt married to Stevie Wise of Delaware. He was preceded in death by his son Robbie Wise and his brother Nelson Wise.

Friends will be received on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Memorial Service to follow at 11AM. Private interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
