Gary R. Funk, 60, of New Providence, died Wednesday February 10, 2010 from injuries sustained in a snowmobiling accident.

Born in Lancaster, Gary was the son of Dorothy (Rottmund) Funk Rader of Lancaster, and the late Richard T. Funk.  He was married to Carol J. Funk.

Gary was the owner and operator of Gary R. Funk Equipment Repair in New Providence, specializing in the repair of heavy diesel equipment, mostly Caterpillar equipment.

A Patron Member of the National Rifle Association, Gary enjoyed hunting and competitive target shooting, as well as motorcycling, woodworking, and being outdoors.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and helping people.  His personality and voice could fill the room.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are his children, Toby Funk, husband of Stephanie L. of Lancaster, and LeAnne M. Funk of New Providence, and brother, Rick Funk of Lancaster.

Friends and Relatives are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 7:30 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E.
