Obituary

Gary Leon Deyarmin, Sr. of Washington Boro, PA, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2024, on his 69th birthday. He was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1955. He was the son of the late William Deyarmin and the late Irene "McKee" Deyarmin. He is also proceeded by death by his brother, David Deyarmin.

Growing up Gary spent many summers with his family in Altoona, PA. He enjoyed motorcycles and fast cars. After high school, he went to Culinary School and worked as the Head Chef at Roland Green Golf Club in Springfield, PA, and later the Brownstone Inn, Glenn Mills, PA. Gary ended his career in sales and retail.

Gary worked hard to provide for his family. He is remembered as a man of many talents, trades and hobbies. He is known for his self-taught carpentry skills and his ability to fix anything. He also had a softer side of making and selling beautiful crafts and his amazing flower gardens every year. Some of his greatest joys were spending time on speedboats, vacationing with family and his energy was contagious on any dance floor.

Gary leaves behind his beloved partner Linda Abessinio who was his best friend. And his children Gary Deyarmin, Jr., Diane Deyarmin, Desiree Erdman, Ashley Kodish, Curtis Kodish and his 8 grandchildren who adored him: Olivia Bruno, Gary Deyarmin, Emma Deyarmin, Chase Erdman, Liliana Erdman, Kayla Kodish, Hannah Kodish and Carter Kodish.

For all that knew Gary, his dog Macy was always by his side. Gary's passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will always be cherished by his family and close friends. The family will hold a private Memorial Service in his loving memory.
