Garry Krause, 74, of Lancaster, entered into rest on Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was the beloved companion of Mary Doman, with whom he shared the last 47 years.

Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Harry & Mary (Sest) Krause.

Garry was a veteran of the United Sates Marine Corps. He was employed as a truck driver.

He will be remembered for his kind and gentle soul. He was concerned about the environment and loved animals. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and gardening. He loved taking long walks with his precious dog, Jimmy. He enjoyed a good game of ping pong with his friends. He was an avid Philadelphia spots fan and supported Penn State Football.

Garry loved to read and share his knowledge. He enjoyed listening to music and cooking for his family and friends.

If you knew Garry, you were blessed to know a good person. One who was always more concerned with your feelings than his. Garry loved his family.

Surviving Garry, in addition to his companion Mary, are his dear Aunt Anna; his siblings, Richard Krause (the late Jacqueline); Joann Baum (Robert); Arlene Floyd (Richard); along with many nieces and nephews.

Garry was preceded in death by his other brothers and sisters, Bruce A., Larry E., Harry, Cass Thomas, George, Edward, and Robert V.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Salem U.C.C., 2312 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 at 4pm. Interment will be held privately for his family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Garry may be made to the Wolf Sanctuary of PA , 465 Speedwell Forge Rd., Lititz, PA 17543; or to the Brandywine Valley SPCA , 290 Churchmans Road, New Castle, DE 19720.
