Gabriela Iovanescu, 85, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pecinisca, Romania, she was the daughter of the late Maria and Nicolae Golopenta. She was the beloved wife to the late Nicolae Iovanescu.

Prior to retirement, Gabriela was employed as a bibliographer at West University of Timisoara, Romania. Gabriela moved to the US to help care for her grandchildren in 2010. She kept their heritage alive by only speaking to her family in Romanian. She attended St. Andrew (Sfantul Andrei) Romanian Orthodox Church in Birdsboro, PA. Gabriela enjoyed watching a few television shows and her daily soap opera. But most of all she cherished spending time with her family. Her love, devotion to family, smile and strength will be missed by all who knew her.

Gabriela is survived by her daughter, Adriana Dalea of Lititz, companion of David Moyer; her grandchildren: Dan and Andy Dalea, her former son in law Mihai Dalea; her brother Nicu Golopenta and family, her sister in law Doina Teodorescu and family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Witness Park Cemetery, Lititz, PA 17543.
