G. Donald "Don" Sload, 85, of Lancaster, passed away on November 19, 2018. He was born in Lancaster, PA to the late George and Eda H. (Keimer) Sload. He was the loving husband to G. Arlene (Goodman). Don and his wife recently celebrated their 66th anniversary.

Don proudly served in the US Army as a Corporal until 1955. He worked for RCA and Sears before retiring in 2015 from the Manheim Auto Auction. Don had a smile and a joke for everyone he met. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and spending time at the bay. Most of all "Pop-Pop" loved spending time with his grandkids and his family. His gentle soul will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his devoted wife, Don is survived by his children Robert Scott Sload (Kim Kessler) of Lancaster, Neil Allen Sload (Suzanne) of Wilmington, NC; 2 grandchildren: Sophia and Curren Sload of Wilmington, NC; and a sister Kathy Glouner (David) of Lancaster. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 2-3:30PM with a time of sharing at 3:30PM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
