Fredrick L. Koenig, 57, of Lancaster, died Thursday at Lancaster General Hospital of natural causes.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Ruth M. Mattern Koenig.

Fredrick had worked for Armstrong World Industries for 36 years, retiring in 2004 as a floor supervisor.

He was US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a Specialist 5 ^th class in an artillery battery, and was well-decorated as a result of his dedicated service.

He loved to golf.

He is survived by a son, Anthony Lynch of Davies, FL; a daughter Jodi Lynn Koenig of Maryland; a sister, Nancy Knapp of Lancaster; and by two brothers, Robert of Lancaster and James of Ahoskie, NC.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Geist.
