Former RCA employee

Frederick W Zipp, Jr., 94, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at St. Anne's Retirement Community surrounded by his family.

Born in Mount Joy, PA, he was the son of Frederick W. and Anna M. (Walker) Zipp, stepbrother to Edward Hollister, and Husband of Nancy K. Zipp. All who preceded him in death.

Mr. Zipp was employed at RCA for 27 years. He was an award-winning drag racer and pistol shooter. Fred really enjoyed reading, listening to the radio, word searches and puzzles, talking to his neighbors, family visits, and friends.

He is survived by his stepdaughter Michelle, wife of Daniel Harnick; step-grandchildren Brian Harnick and Philip Harnick (Crystal); 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601, at 12PM. Friends and relatives will we received from 11:30AM to 12PM. Fred will be laid to rest at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery following Mass.
