Frederick G. Dommel, Jr., 77, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Conestoga View Nursing Home with his loving wife by his side. He was the loving husband of Sherry (Hardy) Dommel. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Frederick Sr. and Dorothy (Wise) Dommel. Fred retired from Fidelity Electric after 30 years of service where he was a generator assembler. He enjoyed taking day trips to the Baltimore Aquarium, watching movies especially thrillers and was a handyman around the house. Fred met Sherry at Fidelity Electric in 1984 where they both worked in the same department and later were married on November 20, 1987. In addition to his wife Sherry, he is survived by his step-son Christopher Eric Hardy of New York. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 11AM from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will be held in Riverview Burial Park.
