Fred Steudler, 82, passed away on his Conestoga Township property while enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, hunting, on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

He was born in Lancaster, the son of the late Frederick William Sr. and Jeanette (Stover) Steudler.

Fred graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School, Class of 1959, and earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from LeTourneau University. Fred was an entrepreneur in various businesses and a caring philanthropist. He recently received an honorary award for his engineering contributions.

Fred enjoyed 49 years of marriage to his wife Beverly A. (Enck) Steudler.

He was a member of Calvary Church.

In addition to hunting, Fred enjoyed fishing.

Surviving Fred are his loving wife Beverly, and his brother Richard S. Steudler, husband of Jaclin S. of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert A. Steudler, and David E. Steudler. Whether for business, hunting, fishing, or leisure–Fred was always a follower of Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice". He loved his Lord and the magnificence of creation! Fred and wife Beverly made "rejoicing in the Lord" the hallmark of their lives. Thank you, Lord!

A viewing will take place 2 to 3 pm, followed by a celebration of Fred's life at 3 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Lancaster Bible College Good Shepherd Chapel, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. Interment in Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery will occur at 10 am Monday, October 30th.
