Franklin D. Stauffer, 82, died surrounded by his loving family at his Upper Leacock Twp. home on Sunday, January 10, 2016. He was born in Bart Twp. to Ruth E. Miller Stauffer of Hamilton Arms and the late Paul R. Stauffer. Franklin was the husband of Janice Peters Stauffer for 28 years.

He served as a Sergeant in the US Army with Co. C 106th Tank Battalion during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star

Franklin worked in the warehouse shipping department at Armstrong World Industries, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Hope Episcopal Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife Janice and mother Ruth are 3 children, Sandi, wife of Jack Miller of Paradise, Gary Stauffer, husband of Jennie of Ocala, FL, and Maribeth, wife of Ken McMullen of Quarryville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepsons, Jere White, husband of Julie of Mansfield and Kevin White, husband of Nathalie of Easton, MD; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Evelyn, wife of Earl Denlinger of Manheim Twp. and Toye Kauffman of Quarryville. Franklin was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Harry, Galen, Richard and Robert Stauffer.

Franklin's family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM, followed by the memorial service at 11 AM with Rev. Tim Small officiating, on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Hope Episcopal Church, 2425 Mountain Road, Manheim, PA 17545. Interment with Military Honors will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
