Franklin (Frank) G. "Soco" Socoloski, 88, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at LGH. Born in Shamokin, PA he was the son of the late Piorter and Victoria (Luberecka) Socoloski. He was married to Elva (Crawford) Socoloski for over 62 years.

Frank graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor's degree in Arts and went onto work for RCA as a system analyst for many years.

He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII where he was stationed in the Philippines and was known as one of the last Lancaster area "WWII Submariner's" of his time.

Frank was a past 4th degree grand knight at the Knights of Columbus, Council 867 and was a member of the Millersville VFW. He was an avid bridge player and chess player where he was nationally ranked at one time.

He was a member of St. Philip's Catholic Church where he was a member of the men's club.

In addition to his loving wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Regina A., wife of Harold Rothenberger, Jr., of Lititz, Susan M., wife of Lynn Overly, of Millersville, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a sister, Clare Haddock, of Marietta, PA. He was preceded in death by 7 siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA with Rev. Mark E. Weiss as Celebrant. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the mass at the church on Saturday. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
