Frank T. Sobkowiak, age 97, passed away at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy on August 2, 2023. Born in Dickson City, PA., Frank was the son of the late Frank J. and Josephine (Czachor) Sobkowiak. On May 27, 1950, he married Irene Nesevitch Sobkowiak and the devoted union lasted until her passing in 2010.

Frank proudly served the Army Air Corps in Europe in the aftermath of WWII. After completing his service, he worked in sales for various companies such as Rexall, Cole Pharmacal, B & E Pharmaceuticals and Walgreens. Throughout his career, he was regularly recognized as a top salesman for each of his companies. Because of his strong work ethic and commitment to others, Frank was nominated and obtained a Kentucky Colonel Commission. Right up to his death, Frank's mind was sharp, and he contributed in conversations with many stories from his past as well as his favorite jokes.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Mary Sobkowiak Kreider (wife of James) of Lancaster; two grandchildren: Dr. Marisa Kreider (partner of Drew Ferguson) of Pittsburgh and Jimmy Kreider (husband of Amy Ebersole Kreider) of Lancaster; two great grandchildren: Emma and Ben; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Frank is preceded in death by his sons: Frank J. and Christopher Sobkowiak. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 from 10am to 11am with a service beginning at 11am. Burial will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dickson City, PA.
