Frank C. Rhodes, 55, of Manheim, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Manheim, he was the husband of Doris L. (Gibble) Rhodes of Manheim, to whom he was married 30 years. They were married June 4, 1983. He was the son of Paul and Barbara (McCarthy) Rhodes of Manheim.

Frank was a member of the Elstonville Sportsman's Association and the Germanian Band Club. An avid motorcyclist, Frank also enjoyed traveling to New York to salmon fish, and liked to golf and ride bike.

An Army veteran, Frank was employed for 27 years by ALCOA as a crane facilitator.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Matthew C. Rhodes and his wife Erica of Lancaster; a daughter, Ashlee M. Rhodes of Manheim; a grandson, Spencer Rhodes; and two sisters: Linda Garrison and Sharan Rhodes, both of Manheim. Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky "Butch" Rhodes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 5 to 7 PM, and again on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Burial with full military honors will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
