Frank A. Melos, 72, of Manheim Township, Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was born in Union City, NJ and was the son of the late Frank and Frances (Wittnebert) Melos.

He recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with his loving wife, Eleanor E. (McAndrews) Melos.

Frank graduated from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, where he played football and baseball. He was one of the first athletes inducted into the Wagner Seahawks Hall of Fame in 1991.

In Marlton, New Jersey, where he previously resided for 30 years, he was the past Grand Knight at St. Joan of Arc Church and a 4 ^th Degree Knight. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

Frank was self-employed as a Manufacturer's Representative for more than 40 years, and he was best known for his integrity and work ethic.

Surviving in addition to his wife, is a son, Glenn M. Melos, husband of Deneen, of Sinking Spring, a daughter Laurie E. Melos, of Lancaster, and four grandchildren all known as "Poppy's Favorite": Courtney, Tyler, Mackenzie, and Lindsay. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Artiges.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 with The Rev. Michael Letteer as Celebrant. A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 7-9PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA 17543 with a Christian Prayer Vigil at 8:45PM, and again on Friday from 9-10AM at St. John Neumann Church.
