Frank R. Kiwus, 80, of Lancaster, PA passed away surrounded by his family on February 2, 2013 at his home. Born in Kingston, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Geuss) Kiwus.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy M. (Kruse) Kiwus.

Frank retired as a Budget Executive with the New York State Government in 1995.

Proud of his German heritage, he graduated from Union College in 1954, was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and ran track. He still holds many records to date at Union College in track. He earned his Master of Public Administration at SUNY Albany.

Frank especially enjoyed spending time with his family and purchasing and restoring homes with his wife.  Together with Nancy, he was an avid antiquer and owned and operated several antique shops throughout his life.

Frank is survived by a daughter, Jody Gil, of Johnston, NY, two sons, Captain Christopher H. Kiwus, CEC, USN, husband of Jennifer A., of Jacksonville, FL, Jon Paul Kiwus, husband of Wendy, of Falls Church, VA, seven grandchildren, Zach, James, Jack, Grant, Nicole, Sam, and Alex and three nieces. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Kiwus, and The Rev. John Kiwus C.S.S.R.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be Celebrated later this Spring at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Colonie, NY.  The date and time of the service will be posted on Snyder's website.
