Francesco Gambino, 49, of West Lampeter, Lancaster County, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2025. Born in Carini, Sicily, he was the son of Carlo and Marianna (Conigliaro) Gambino. Along with his parents, Francesco is survived by his niece, Mia, nephew Luca, and his sister in-law, Nicole Gambino. He is preceded in death by his brother Guiseppe Gambino.
As a young entrepreneur, Francesco enjoyed investing in real estate and working in the family business. He attended Millersville University, graduating with a degree in biology. Francesco graduated with a 4.0 GPA, within top 5 of his class, which was also publicized in the newspaper. In addition to his accomplishments, he graduated as Valedictorian from Penn Manor High School. Francesco was known for his brilliant smile and his kind heart. He loved helping those in need and was very involved in volunteering at various food shelters. He was very well spoken, stayed up to date on current events in the world. Francesco was fluent in Italian and loved to travel back to Sicily to spend time with family. He had a strong passion for cars and dogs, specifically the Cane Corso breed.
Francesco deeply loved his parents and brother. He enjoyed the simple things in life and adored spending time with his niece and nephew. Francesco will be deeply missed by his big family and many friends.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. 17602 from 5PM to 7PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 119 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603, at 10AM where the family will receive guests beginning at 9 AM until time of Mass. Interment will follow at Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
Francesco had a strong passion for helping those in need, and in lieu of flowers, the family strongly urges donations in his memory to Lancaster County Food Hub, 812 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA. 17603, or Blessings of Hope-Lancaster Ministry Selection Center, 515 N. Franklin St. Lancaster, PA. 17602.
