Frances Mongiovi, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on December 27, 2023 after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Frank who passed away in 2014. They celebrated 53 wonderful years of marriage.
Frances was born in Cattolica Eraclea, Sicily to the late Santo and Nicolina (Casola) Spagnolo.
She was woman of faith who was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. Frances was a homemaker, who had a passion for cooking and hosting family dinners. Enjoyed spending time with her family, especially vacations with them at the beach. In her spare time, she knitted, crocheted, and assembled puzzles. Frances was happiest growing plants and attending her vegetable garden. She loved children and provided care for numerous families throughout the years who became lifelong friends.
Frances will be remembered as a kind, loving woman, and faithful friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She had a warm and caring personality that touched many lives. Frances is survived by her three children, Joanne, wife of Christopher Kambic of New Cumberland, Linda, wife of Todd Rissmiller of Lancaster, and Frank D. of Centreville, VA. In addition to her children, she is survived by six grandchildren: Matthew (Beverly), Ryan (MaKaila), Lauren (Mitchell), Nicholas, Danielle and Stephen, and by two great-grandchildren: Ava & Rhys. She is also survived by three sisters, a brother, two sister-in-laws and predeceased brother.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024, from 6-8 PM.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 East Delp Road, Lancaster with Rev. Daniel Powell as Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frances' name to the Mid Atlantic ALS . Frances' family would like to thank the ALS clinic in Hershey for their care and support.
