Frances A. Gibes, 97, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at St. Anne's Retirement Community. Born in Joliet, IL, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Gouszeczka) Korczak. She was the wife of the late John P. Gibes, who died in 2006.

She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and doing Christmas Bazaar crafts. Frances did wonderful knitting, crocheting, and sewing and she shared this gift with many people.

Frances is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Hagen, wife of Robert, of Lancaster; son, Richard J. Gibes, husband of Sharon, of Plainfield, IL; two grandsons: Michael R. Hagen, husband of Audrey, and John D. Hagen; sister, Josephine Korczak of Joliet, IL; and brother, John Korczak, of California.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601 with Rev. David Danneker as Celebrant. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30AM prior to the Mass. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
