Frances D. Accardo Lattuca Wagner, 95, of Lancaster, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Friday, September 14, 2018. She was born in York to the late Carmelo and Mary (Scalia) Accardo. Frances celebrated 53 years of marriage with her husband Samuel M. Wagner last December 31st.
She was a 1941 graduate of William Penn High School, and Thompson Business School, both in York. Frances worked as a secretary at Alloy Rods Company and then at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital, both in York, and lastly as bookkeeper for husband Sam's business, Drawing Board Associates, Lancaster.
A member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, Frances was active in the women's auxiliary and Guys & Dolls at the church. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, dancing, tending to her garden, reading and decorating her home.
Frances was known for her way of life: "HOMEMADE, MADE OVER OR MADE DO".
In addition to her loving husband Samuel, Frances is survived by her daughter Rosemary Lattuca Roth, wife of Jay Roth of Lewisberry, stepson Daniel J. Wagner, husband of Barbara (Doman) of Lancaster, stepdaughter Christina J., wife of Samuel Keaton of Fries, VA; 4 step-grandchildren: Kelly J. Wagner Mastrogiovanni (David) of Lancaster, Christopher D. Wagner (Gwen) of Mount Joy, Alexandria Frisch Kinory (Ethan) of Chestnut Hill and Julianna Kittelson of Washington, DC; 2 step-great-granddaughters, Kayleigh M. Wagner and Dalia Kinory; 3 sisters: Mary, wife of the late Christopher Terrasi, Jennie, wife of the late Anthony Spagnola and Esther, wife of the late Nick Spagnola, all of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Angelo J. Lattuca.
The Wagner family thanks the compassionate staff of Visiting Angels for their excellent care of Frances.
A viewing will take place 11 AM to 12 PM, followed by the Mass at 12 PM with The Rev. Jonathan Ulrick as Celebrant, on Monday, September 24, 2018, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Road, York, PA 17402. Private interment in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery, York, PA, with The Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
