Fortunato S. Rivera, 76, died July 23, 2016 at home. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Julio & Juana Rivera He was married to Carmen A. Sanchez for 57 years. They came to the United States in 1966 from Salina, Puerto Rico. Within their marriage, they had 4 children: Nancy S. Henson (Larry Henson), Alberto Sanchez Lopez (Madeline Lopez), Elisa Stewart (John Stewart) and Maria S. Colon (Pedro A. Colon). Also survived by 10 grandchildren along with 20 great-grandchildren; siblings: Julia Maria Riveria, Junior Rivera & Soko Rodriquez Rivera. He was preceded in death by siblings: Juan Moilla & Felix Sanchez Rivera. Fortunato who liked to be called "Nato" by friends & family, loved to be surrounded by the people he loved and he enjoyed to play dominos on weekend; hard-working, and family provider up until retirement from Colonial Metals Company. A viewing will be held 9:30-11am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
