Florence (Shaub) Kranch Albright, 95, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord with her family beside her after a short illness. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Benjamin Shaub and Stella (Frank) Shaub Neilds and the wife of the late Robert Kranch of Lancaster and the late George Albright of Coatesville. Florence was born on February 17, 1918 in Lancaster. She attended East Lampeter High School and completed beautician school at Lancaster Modernistic School of Beauty Culture in 1935. She worked at Garvin's Department Store, Emerald Beauty Shop, and The Ross Store & Dry Goods and was well known for her crocheting and tatting. A number of her tatted pieces were on display at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. She attended the Leacock Presbyterian Church, Paradise. She loved family gatherings, eating out at various local restaurants, bingo, and gathering in the "Big Room" with friends to listen to piano music. Florence loved her family very much and is survived by two loving daughters: Judith (Kranch) O'Neal, wife of Bradford O'Neal and Karen (Kranch) Flick, wife of Ronald Flick, of Lancaster; four grandchildren and their families: Tim and Ellen Flick of Lake Villa, Illinois; Brett Stabley, Shawn and Sharon O'Neal and Stacey and Dukie Irwin, of Lancaster, and her pride and joy, six wonderful great grandchildren: Andrew, Faith, Daniel, Melina, David and Keira. She is further survived by many friends at Brethren Village, her most recent home. The family wishes to thank the staff at Brethren Village, Lancashire Hall, and Hospice of Lancaster County and Community Care for the compassionate care they provided. A private service for family is planned.
