Florence "Cis" (Anderson) Conroy, 94, formerly of Lancaster, died peacefully Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. Born June 12, 1920 in Manheim Township, she was the wife of James F. "Pat" Conroy, whom she married April 9, 1943 at First Baptist Church of Lancaster. She was the daughter of the late Harry G. and Sarah B. (Snyder) Anderson. Cis was a member of the 1938 graduating class of Upper Leacock High School. She worked as a secretary for Abram D. Mellinger Real Estate, Inc. at its former Columbia Avenue office in Lancaster for 30 years until her retirement. In addition to her husband of 71 years, she is survived by a son, James Michael Conroy of Elmirage, AZ; 2 granddaughters, Kelli Conroy and Yahna Conroy McFalls (David S.); and 3 great grandchildren, Liam, Loghan, and Finn McFalls. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Etta Conroy, who died September 9, 1955, and 4 sisters. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Cis' memory be made to Masonic Village Hospice Program, One Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
