Fior D. "Daly" Calderon, 69, of Columbia, passed away at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 15, 2019. She was born in Manhattan, NY, to the late Louis and Elba (Villalona) Carrillo.
Daly graduated from Memorial High School in West New York, NJ, and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University's Hackensack School of Nursing for 3 years. She worked as a central records clerk for the School District of Lancaster.
Daly dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her many interest included sewing, home construction and repair, listening to Latin and 50's and 60's music, reading, bowling, bicycle riding, crochet, camping and nurturing her plants.
Surviving Daly are her three daughters, Janette, wife of James Nowlin of Lebanon, Chevonne Santos-Reid, wife of Maxwell Reid of Hampton, VA, and Tamikka L. Calderon of Columbia. Also surviving Daly are her six grandchildren, Stephan Santos-Diaz, Demetrius Hawkins, Marcel Hawkins, Isabel Reid, Natalia Reid and Alexandre Reid; four great-grandchildren, Kaydence Hawkins, Jayceon Santos-Diaz, Lorynn Dixon and Xavier Hawkins. Daly also leaves behind her siblings Harriet Carrillo, Eve Cabbell and Nay A. Carrillo, husband of Elizabeth and her half-sister Sandra Rivera. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Jacqueline Carrillo, Millie Trocchia, and Louis Carrillo, Jr.
Viewings will take place 6-8 PM Friday, March 22nd and 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday, March 23rd at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A celebration of Daly's Life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.
