Felicita Torres, 80, of Lancaster, PA passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Friday, October 21, 2022. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Cruz Velazquez and Salvador Hernandez. She was the beloved wife of the late William Torres who passed in 1993.

Felicita was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church. Prior to retirement, she was a Teacher's Assistant at the School District of Lancaster for 14 years and a Caseworker for the Spanish Center before retiring in 1980. She enjoyed singing and dancing. She was a talented crocheter. She enjoyed hosting get-togethers and entertaining. Most of all she cherished her faith and spending time with her family. Her lively spirit and infectious laugh will be missed by all.

She is survived by her children: William R. Torres of Lancaster, Wanda I. Cruz of Lancaster, Edward N. Torres of Lancaster, Step-son William Torres, Jr. of Harrisburg; 4 grandchildren: Ivette Franco wife of Joshua, Aubry Torres, Destiny Torres-Williams, and Jaelen Torres; 3 great-grandchildren: Micah, Maliah and Lilah; her siblings: Jesus Hernandez of Virginia, Sarah E. Hernandez of Lancaster as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter Janet Torres; her siblings: Jose L. Hernandez, Juanita Garcia, Carlos Hernandez, Virginia Curbelo, Anna L. Hernandez, and Margarita Ferrer.

Family and friends will be received from 6 PM-8 PM on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. A Christian burial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602 with Father Luis R. Rodrigues officiating. Family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
