Felicita Rivera, 98, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully, November 2, 2024. She was the cherished wife of the late Pedro Rivera and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. As the beloved matriarch of six generations, Felicita was a mother to nine children, and her family grew under her care and love.

Humble in spirit, Felicita lived her life with an open heart and an open door, welcoming everyone she knew. She was a fantastic cook, and she found joy in gardening. Felicita was also an adventurer at heart, enjoying travel and cruises that allowed her to visit with family in Puerto Rico where she was born.

A woman of deep faith, Felicita was God-fearing and passed down her beliefs to her children and grandchildren. She found her greatest happiness in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, filling their lives with unconditional love.

Felicita is survived by her children: Ana Quinones, Wencesla Rivera, Aurea wife of William Morales, Ruth wife of Roberto Lopez, Samuel Rivera, and Rebecca wife of Angel Gonzalez, as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro; her children, Maria wife of Kenneth Luckenbill, Pedro Rivera Jr., and David Rivera; and her beloved granddaughter Mildred Rivera.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street PA 17584. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday November 12, 2024, at New Creation United Methodist Church,10 W Farnum St, Lancaster, PA 17603, with an additional viewing from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Service at 11:00. Felicita will be laid to rest following a service at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
