Fay L. Smith, 63, of Lancaster, passed away with her two children by her side at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy, on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Born in Lancaster, Fay was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Cochran) Maust. Fay was a 1969 graduate of Hempfield High School and had previously been employed by Hamilton and Core States Bank, but most recently worked as an administrative assistant for V.L. Rendina Inc. Fay's interests included reading Stephen King novels and other books, watching old movies, listening to music and dancing, and horseback riding. She was an auxiliary member of AMVETS and the Riverside Club. Fay is survived by her daughter, Sherri R. Young, wife of Keith H. of Landisville, and a son, Adam J. Smith, of Lancaster. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Sabrina and Jayden, and 2 sisters, Carolyn and Martha. Services for Fay will be private.
