Evelyn E. Smart, 87, passed away December 1, 2017 at Mt. Hope Nazarene Home, Manheim. She was born January 26, 1930, the daughter of John Louis and Helen (Maycort) Downie. She was a retired Nurses' Aide, working in several capacities at health care and nursing facilities. She is survived by her son, Kevin Schropshier, two daughters; Debbie Hartranft and Donna Greenman, her brother, Roland Downie, two sisters; Yovonne McGlaughlin and Carol Downie, six grandchildren, eight, great-grandchildren, and nephew, Bryce Downie. Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box, 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
