Evelyn M. Rodgers, 91, of Lancaster passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Naomi P. Hunter. Evelyn loved listening to gospel and studying the bible. She enjoyed fishing, art and reading. But most of all, Evelyn loved spending time with her family. Evelyn is survived by her children: Samuel Gray of Lancaster, Wanda McKinney of Matthews, NC, Joyce Evans (Larry) of Charlotte, NC, James Gray (Elane) of Willow Street, Dave W. Gray of Columbia, PA, Kathleen Hogans (Daniel) of Norcross, GA and Curtis Gray of GA; 21 grandchildren: Danielle, Tamekia, Kenneth, Joseph, Qithasa, Anthony, Marcus, Lakitia, Andrea, David, Keesha, Tony, Corey, James, Natalie, Porshia, Dawond, George, Samantha, and Lawrence and a host of great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her children: Kenneth Gray and Linda Jackson. Home Going Services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 3PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Calling time with the family will be 2PM to 3PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
