Evan Alexander Church, 21, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Born in Essex, MD, he was the loving son of Brad E. Church, of Bedford, PA and Stephanie J. (Beck) Church, partner of Michelle Harkanson, of Mount Joy. Evan was a 2013 graduate of Manheim Township High School where he participated on the dive team. Currently, he was studying CNC Machining full-time at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Evan appreciated cars (especially his 2 Miatas,) video games, any Indian or Thai meal, biking, skateboarding and long boarding. He was especially fond of his gecko Dewey, and took pride in how well he took care of him. Evan was adored by his younger cousins, and people would often comment that he had an infectious smile. Evan was very perceptive, practical, observant, analytical and very good with his hands. He was witty, charming, and affectionate. Growing up, he loved vacations with his family and was always a thrill-seeker out to have fun. He was loved very much by his friends and family. In addition to his parents, Evan will be deeply missed by his sister, Regan Church; maternal grandmother, Debra McDonald, wife of Jerry, of Lititz; maternal grandfather, Dennis Beck, husband of Pixie, of Lititz; paternal grandparents, Paul and Janelle Church, of Forest Hill, MD; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Evan was preceded in death by his grandmother Helen Marie Church. A Time of Gathering will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
