Eugene B. "Gene" Lauver, 86, passed away January 18, 2011 at Hospice of Mount Joy.

He was the son of the late Maurice E. and Daisy Brubaker Lauver. He was preceded in death by twelve siblings and his beloved wife Lenna L. Peters Lauver.

Gene was a rifleman serving in World War II in Company G, 105 ^th Infantry Division. He was wounded in Saipan and Okinawa and awarded the Purple Heart. He over came his head injury and became a productive husband and father.

He is survived by his children: Jonelle, partner of Brian Rylee, Michael Lauver( William Klopp), DeLene wife of Jerry Haines Jr. and three grandchildren; Charles and Patrick Evans, Matthew Haines and soon to be great grandson.

Funeral Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:00AM with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Interment will following at Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, Pa. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 9-10:00AM.
