Eugene Finley, 80, of Eden View Road, Elizabethtown, PA, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Masonic Village. Born in Manheim, PA, Eugene was the husband of Lois J. Good Finley and they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. He was the son of the late Joseph and Emma Seifert Finley. Eugene graduated from McCaskey High School where he was active in sports, played the trumpet, and was a member of the marching band. One of his favorite things to do was roller skating. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed bowling, and served as a clown for the Zembo Shriner's. He was a Free and Accepted Mason recently receiving his 25th year pin. He was a member of the "Grove Trotters" and enjoyed riding his mini car in numerous parades. He loved to make people smile, was very outgoing, but most of all he loved his family. Eugene was a member of the Mt. Joy Church of God. He worked with TAH Construction as a construction foreman, as well as holding other titles within the company. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Dennis, husband of Connie Finley, Hummelstown, PA, Donald Finley, and Duane, husband of Lori Finley, both of Elizabethtown, PA; five grandchildren, Evan, Megan, Brett, Malorie, Logan and a great granddaughter, Leila. He was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Althouse. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Eugene's Memorial Tribute from the Mt. Joy Church of God, 30 E Main St, Mt. Joy, PA 17552 on Friday December 4th at 7:00pm with The Rev. Randy Bistline officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00pm until time of service and again following the service with light refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in his memory to Masonic Village Hospice, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
