Esther Faye Schustrich, 81, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on October 9, 2016 at Manor Care. Born in Barrett, MN, she was the daughter of the late George & Inga (Endreson) Peterson.

Esther was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Legion of Mary. Her first love was her children. She enjoyed gardening, loved home decorating & animals.

Surviving are 3 children: Loretta "Lorie" Higgins, Fred Schustrich & Betsy Ford (David); 4 grandchildren: Carolyn McLaughlin, John Ford, Evie Schustrich & Layla Faye White; great-granddaughter, Grace McLaughlin; sister, Peggy Rhodes; and a brother, Pete Peterson.

In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Schustrich, a son-in-law, Michael Higgins, & her former husband, James J. Schustrich, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 Saint Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Friends will be received at 9:30 AM. Esther will be laid to rest at Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
