Esther H. Jackson, 65, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024. Esther was the daughter of the late Jacob G. and Mary W. Hess. On July 31, 1982, she married Rick Jackson.

Esther loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loyal friend and a great listener. She was always excited to play a game or work on a jigsaw puzzle. After her retirement, she found joy in making comforters for Mennonite Central Committee's Relief programs.

In addition to her husband, Esther is survived by their three children: Laura (Jed) Burkholder, Ben (Hannah), and Mark (Kaley); and five grandchildren: Lillie Burkholder, Miles Burkholder, Dahlia Jackson, Elliott Jackson, and Jude Jackson. She is also survived by her siblings: Paul (Nancy), Jake (Norlene), Rhoda (Harry) Stoner, Dave (Jane), Martha Clymer, Dan (Evanna), Mary (Wishart) Bell, Lois (John) Nafziger, Rachel (Dennis Maust), and Joe (Jane), as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, David Clymer.

A Service of Remembrance for Esther will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Living Hope Community Church, 2823 Columbia Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603. Family and friends will be received at the church from 9 AM until the time of the service. Casual dress is suggested .
