Erwin Seitz, 90, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, July 03, 2017 at St. Anne's Retirement Home. Born in Weisel, Germany, he was the son of the late Xaver and Anna (Schick) Seitz. He was the loving husband of Irmgard E. (Schrautemeier) Seitz who passed away in 2008. He was a butcher at Kunzler Meat Co. in Lancaster for many years and enjoyed participating in Civil War re-enactments where he was a member of the Lancaster Fencibles. Erwin was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and Conestoga Country Club. He is survived by his daughter, Liane G., wife of Ernest Beardsley of Lancaster; a sister, Trudi Lindt of Thun, Switzerland and several nieces and nephews in Germany. He was preceded in death by a son, Garry J. Seitz. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
