Erma F. Stauffer, 98, formerly of Lancaster, passed away at Brethren Village on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. She shared 52 years of marriage with her husband Richard J. Stauffer before his passing in 2000.

Born in Manheim Township, Erma was the daughter of the late John K. and Mamie (Wagaman) Forney. She graduated from Manheim Township High School in 1944 and was a wonderful and loving homemaker for her family.

Erma was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Erma and Richard were also members of the Dutchland Polkateers.

Surviving Erma are her daughters Linda S. Gillingham (Wayland, Jr.) of Lancaster, and Brenda S. Richin (Robert) of Florence, AZ, as well as four grandchildren, Christie Nelson (Rev. Kevin) of Gainesville, FL, Matthew Gillingham (Kanako Yoshikane) of Tokyo, Japan, Sarah Richin of Portland, OR, and Rebekah Richin of Los Angeles, CA; and four greatgrandchildren, Kyra, Zoe, and Seth Nelson, and Ian Gillingham.

In addition to her parents and husband, Erma was predeceased by her six siblings.

Erma's family will greet guests from 10:30 to 11:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am, on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Private interment took place at Neffsville Brethren Cemetery.
