Erla Teresa (Fritsch) Herr, 99, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on November 26, 2025 at Lancaster Nursing & Rehab. In 11 days, Erla would have turned 100 years old. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William and Erla (Vollertsen) Fritsch. Erla was the loving wife to the late Vernon E. Herr, Jr, and together they celebrated 72 years of marriage.

Erla graduated in 1943 from Lancaster Catholic High School. She was a homemaker and provided care for her family. She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking and planting flowers. Cats were her favorite animal.

Surviving is a daughter, Linda Arnold, wife of Damon; a brother-in-law, Thomas M. Herr; sister-in-law, Gladys Fritsch; and several nieces and nephews.

Erla is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings: Joseph, William, Herman and Shirley Kerchoff.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, 11 Greenfield Rd, Lancaster, PA 17602.
