Emma J. Whitaker, 87, of Lancaster, died on Monday, February 23, 2015, at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy. Born in Madora, IN to the late James and Ethel (Myers) Watts, she was the wife of the late Arnold Whitaker who died in 2008. Of the Christian faith, Emma was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her 4 children: Wayne Whitaker, of Orlando, FL; Steven Whitaker, of Lancaster; Pamela Frey, wife of Frederick, of Lancaster; and Susan Grab, wife of David, of Bainbridge; 8 grandchildren: Michael Whitaker, Stacy Logan, Kim Rishell, Mark, Matthew and Melissa Frey, and Kelly and Erin Grab. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna Faye Whitaker. Memorial Services for Emma will be private and at the convenience of the family.
