Emma Paschall Hardwick, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on May 13, 2008 at Hospice of Lancaster County.  Born in Lancaster, Emma was the daughter of the late Lindsey Paschall and Elizabeth Johnson Paschall Gates.  She was the wife of the late William Hardwick.

A homemaker, Emma was also employed as a domestic worker by the Lancaster County Board of Assistance.  She was a member of the Lancaster Elks Club.

She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church and Ray's Temple C.O.G.I.C.

Emma is survived by a sister, Rose M. Perez of Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of service.  Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster.
