Mom was born on April 10, 1926 in Buena Vista, PA, just outside of Gap and passed away June 19, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Willis and Elizabeth (Groff) Weaver, and wife of the late Harry Sides. She was the oldest of 8 children that were all born in the same home. Mom had 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth Schoelen of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Doris Breneman of Lancaster. She is also survived by 3 sons, Wayne Jones of Lancaster, Ronald Jones of Lititz, and Wesley Sides of Lancaster. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Harry Sides in 1972, and by her brothers, Irvan Weaver, Ivan Weaver, and Willie Weaver, in addition to her sisters Vera Phillips and Alta Heinley. Mom loved watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnnhardt, Jr. #88, and Wheel of Fortune. She worked for over 20 years on Tuesdays at Roots Market, and at Enck Catering, where she was a catering cook for most of her life, and worked part-time into her late 80's. In her younger years, she enjoyed the beach and boating. Mom will be remembered as a kind and sweet person by all she met. Friends and family are invited to a Viewing which will be held at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home, located at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543 on Monday, June 25 from 3-4PM. Friends and family are also invited to a Graveside Service which will be held on Friday, June 29, 11AM at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Rd, Lancaster, 17603.
